Contraindications
People with history of the following contraindications are advised against undergoing Kambo treatment due to safety concerns. As a result, their participation in the training wouldn’t be possible. Please get in touch with one of the teachers if you have any questions or concerns.
- Serious heart problems
- Strokes
- Currently medicated for low blood pressure
- Brain Haemorrhages
- Aneurisms or blood clots
- People with serious mental health problems (excluding depression and anxiety)
- People undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- People who take immune-suppressants for organ transplant
- Women who are pregnant or maybe so
- Women who are breast-feeding
- Addison’s disease
- Ehlers Danlos Syndrome
- Current and severe Epilepsy
- Recovering from a major surgical procedure
- Any previous oesophageal tear or rupture
- Under 18 years of age
Precautions
Please follow these precautions. Get in touch with one of the teachers if you have any questions or concerns.
- Please do not take Bufo Alvarius at least eight weeks before the training.
- Please do not take Iboga at least eight weeks before the training.
- Avoid Sananga/Bëchëte dietas a few weeks before training.
- Recent attendance at a multiple ceremony retreat where a person has vomited for a number of days or nights in a row.
- Inform your teacher if you are taking immune suppressants for auto immune disorders.
- Inform your teacher if you are taking slimming, serotonin or sleeping supplements
- Inform your teacher of any active drug or alcohol addiction
- Avoid long term or water fasting for 7 days before or after training
- Avoid colonics, enemas, liver flushes or any water based detox within 3 days either side of taking Kambo
