The Course

This training helps you learn practical skills for a successful practice.

You will explore Kambo’s physical, scientific, mystical, energetic, and spiritual aspects. We will honor the indigenous tribes’ tradition of using Kambo but also incorporate modern Western knowledge.

Safety is important, and you will learn about contraindications, precautions, and first aid.

In theory class, you will receive lots of factual information based on true stories and experiences from our community.

Meet the Frog

We will be traveling to an area inhabited by gigantic old trees and terraformed land with large bodies of water, creating an ideal habitat for the Phyllomedusa Bicolor frog.

Please keep in mind that we do not keep frogs in captivity and being wild animals, we cannot guarantee that they will be visible.

We do not encourage the illegal collection of frog secretion and/or the maltreatment of wild animals. Because there is no Kambo tradition in Ucayalli, will not demonstrate how the frog is milked.

Making Sananga

The workshop will teach you how to prepare Bechete, the Matsés version of Sananga.

We will use freshly shaved roots and bark from the Tabernaemontana Undulata bush, sent by The Matsés community.

This will provide us with different intensities of eye drops to try during the course.

The bungalows are all elevated 5 meters above ground and surrounded by tree canopies, providing a unique experience and connection to nature.

Bungalows are shared when necessary. The lodge will provide room service and change sheets and towels every few days. Beds and sheets are quite comfortable. Best reward after a hard day of training.

To be as eco-friendly as possible, all bathrooms are run on a biodigester system. A biodigester is a system that biologically with the help of friendly microbes, digests organic material.

The training will take place at Cashibo Eco Lodge, a privately owned resort located by the beautiful lake Cashibococha.

The lodge’s eco-friendly nature provides a unique experience and connection with the forest that will complement the Kambo experience perfectly.

Please note that while staying in Cashibo Eco Lodge, there will be limited access to modern amenities. Bungalows do not have electricity or cellular signal and internet access is limited to the common area which is powered by solar cells.

Training Cost

The all-inclusive cost of the 15 days Kambo Practitioners Intensive training is US$ 3,500.

This includes materials, food, and accommodations for the duration of the training.

A US$ 500 non-refundable deposit is payable when booking to secure your place.

Due to the high level of interest in this course, it is a strictly first-come, first-served system.

You must pay the balance of US$3,000 before February 1st, 2024.
